Studying the unique geography, climate, plant life and animal life of the state, the Idaho Museum of Natural History collects, preserves and displays ancient specimens, including an extensive collection of dinosaur fossils. Other areas of interest within the museum include exhibits of how Native Americans lived and thrived, a step-by-step demonstration of evolution of species in North America and giant photographs of modern local animals. Managed by Idaho State University, the museum is on the southern end of campus, next to the Student Union building.
Open Tue. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $5; Seniors (55+) $4; Students $3; Children (4-11) $2; Children under 4 are free.
